Biography

Rowland Edwards is a plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney representing individuals and families in cases involving serious harm and wrongful death. His practice is grounded in the belief that every client is entitled to strategic advocacy and a lawyer who gives each case the attention it needs to succeed.

Rowland’s background spans both public service and private practice. He previously served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he handled both criminal prosecutions and civil litigation on behalf of the government. In that role, he tried criminal cases, advised public officials, and managed complex litigation in both state and federal court. He later joined an international law firm, where he expanded his practice into maritime and transportation law, representing commercial clients in arbitrations, transportation injury defense, and drafting cross-border commercial agreements.

Rowland’s diverse legal background gives him a strategic advantage in plaintiff-side litigation. Having advised public agencies and defended corporations, he understands the internal decision-making processes and common tactics used to avoid liability. He uses this insight to pressure the defense, expose weaknesses, and strengthen the plaintiff’s position at every stage of litigation.

Rowland earned his J.D. and B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
